Eddard Stark’s great sword from Game of Thrones is now a 3D print

Game of Thrones is returning very soon, and the fan creations for it have arrived early.

This is a 3D printed prop of Eddard Stark’s sword, Ice, as seen in the earlier seasons of the show. Maker James Thorogood is is to thank for this print which is is a whopping 135 centimetres long.

It’s a tiny bit shorter than the official props you can buy – which come in at  57.5″ / 146.05 centimetres – but it could always be scaled up for the purists.

Thorogood told us that the version you can see in the gallery below took him 21 hours to print and used 350 grams of PLA filament. The sword is made up of 13 individual parts which need to be glued together, and thin strips of wood were attached to the back of the blade to keep it sturdy.

You can find the files to print your own version over on Thingiverse.

If you need another 3D print from Game of Thrones we suggest the stag crown, or something a bit more lighthearted in this beer tap handle modelled after Jon Snow’s sword Longclaw.
