For those that have been holding out for a cheaper version of LG’s G6 smartphone you’re in luck.

The three handsets are the Q6+, Q6 and Q6α and the only difference between them is the amount of memory and storage you get. Other than that you get the same camera, chipset, battery and features across the range.

The Q6 family also features Face Recognition which allows you to unlock your handset by looking at it which is nice although we would have preferred a fingerprint scanner.
The Q6 family goes on sale in Asia next month and will launch in other parts of the world afterwards. Whether the Q6 family will be coming to SA remains to be seen but we have asked LG’s local representatives if we can expect the handset here.
