While Captain America is best known for wielding a circular shield, he has been known to use a more triangular version in the past, and now you can 3D print it.

This particular design is based off of the heater shield seen in the beginning half of Captain America: The First Avenger. Maker Tom Vancompernolle couldn’t find one online, so he made his own.

His version is broken up into many small parts, so you can still print it on a tiny printer despite the finished shield’s large size. The stars and stripes are done with paint and are not part of the files, so you’ll need to break out the brushes if you want it to look authentic.

Luckily there is a simple strap design included so you can secure it to your arm, or sling it around your back like this promotional frame from the movie.

The files to make your own are free and available on both Thingiverse and MyMiniFactory depending on your preference.
