Here is some incredibly good news to kick off your weekend.
Telkom has today announced a complete overhaul of its fixed line product in the form of Unlimited Home Internet and the packages include not only unlimited data, but free Telkom to Telkom calls (that’s mobile and fixed-line numbers) as well.
“Our FreeMe and FreeMe Family products gave South Africans the freedom they needed to communicate conveniently and cost-effectively. Unlimited Home extends our commitment to affordability to our fixed line customers too,” chief executive officer of Telkom’s Consumer division, Attila Vitai, said in a statement.
The pricing for Unlimited Home Internet follows on below along with a guide as to when Telkom’s fair usage policy kicks in.

That 100Mbps package with a 6TB FUP is rather tempting and Telkom says downloads between midnight and 7am don’t impact your FUP. Colour us impressed.
The new packages launch on 31st August and existing uncapped customers can expect a speed bump at that time.
For those on 2Mbps you’ll now get an increase to 4Mbps and customers on 4Mbps will get bumped up to 8Mbps or 10Mbps depending on coverage.
“In addition, consumers will also receive at least 1GB of mobile data per month, to stay connected while on the move,” said Telkom.
