Internet service provider Ignite has announced three LTE-A packages that operate on Rain’s network which is currently comprised of 750 LTE-A base stations.
As is the norm with Ignite’s services, these new LTE-A services are aimed primarily at small and medium enterprises.
“LTE-A connectivity is an attractive proposition for SMEs that need fibre-like Internet speeds, as well as the flexibility of quick service set-up”, executive head of Ignite, Tony Koutakis said in a statement.

The first 250 customers that sign up for any of the deals will get R1 000 off their installation and setup fee. The installation includes a Huawei B618 router and usually costs R1 999.
Ignite has also said that customers can easily top up data packages on its self-service portal.

The firm says that customers can expect speeds of up to 100Mbps depending on distance and how many folks are connected to the base station.
