The Minmatar Maelstrom from EVE Online has been 3D printed

Despite the popularity of EVE Online, there’s surprisingly few fan-made 3D prints floating around for it.

Thingiverse user Brandon James has changed that with this great miniature of the Minmatar Maelstrom.

The ship’s odd proportions are captured nicely and the test print, which you can see in the gallery below, measures in at 16 inches (40.64 centimetres) long.

The print is sliced into around 30 pieces which slot together with tabs before gluing.

This is one of the few prints which look good without any paint. James has even made provisions for adding detail without breaking out the brushes by including some tips on printing out more realistic glass on the files page.

You can find those files to print your own over on Thingiverse.
