Will Zuma stay or go? Watch #NoConfidenceVote live online

Yesterday, Speaker of Parliament’s National Assembly, Baleka Mbete, announced that the Motion of No Confidence vote against President Jacob Zuma will be held via secret ballot.

Today is indeed D-Day for ANC MPs and President Jacob Zuma, who could be voted out as President of South Africa, should he get less than 199 votes in favour of keeping him.

Opposition parties including the DA, EFF, UDM, ACDP, FF+, Cope and IFP, have made it clear that they’ll vote to oust Zuma. The anticipation lies with whether or not over 200 ANC MPs will listen to calls to “vote with their conscience” and vote along with the opposition.

Either way, this Vote of No Confidence, the eighth in Zuma’s two terms as President, will be historic.

You can watch it all unfold live on Parliament’s YouTube livestream from 2pm.
