Game of Thrones 3D printed in this recreation of Arya Stark’s sword

Another sword from Game of Thrones makes its way into the real world thanks to 3D printing, and this time it’s the one wielded by Arya Stark called Needle.

The thin sword took a full 20 hours to print in ABS plastic and the finished prop measures in at 78 centimetres long.

The creator of the print, Daniel Calle, tells us that the model was created in Blender based off of the prop sold by Valyrian Steel.

If you’d like to print your own you can find the files for free over on Thingiverse. They also include the two pegs which connect it to the “Valar Morghulis” backboard you can see the sword displayed on.

Unfortunately that part of the display is not 3D printed. Calle made that part with a piece of wood onto which he used transfer paper to imprint the design. We suggest you watch this video by the lovely channel TheCrafsMan to see one way you can do that at home.

Eddard Stark’s great sword, Ice, is the other sword from Game of Thrones that we’ve featured. Male sure you check it out if you prefer your swords on the bigger side of things.
