This is what happens when you attach a giant eraser to a jigsaw

William Osman’s YouTube channel is probably the best location for mad scientist maker projects. So what’s on the docket this week? Just a giant eraser attached to a jigsaw motor.

Yes, if those huge joke erasers with the labelling “for really big mistakes!” just aren’t for you, you can now mount them in this. Osman calls his creation the “Back to School Power Tool”.

Using mostly laser cut sections of wood fastened together with zip ties and a trigger mechanism for the saw, it can erase an entire book of mistakes. Or just set it on fire.

If you’ve never watched this channel before you may be wondering about the other robot pulled out of the freezer at the beginning of the video.

That was from a previous video appropriately titled “Dangerous Toast Buttering Robot” (below), which should tell you everything you need to know.

And at this point if you’re wondering “why”, well why not? Osman’s channel is a haven for usually silly and often dangerous ideas that are made real with the power of a large DIY laser cutter and some electronics. It’s amazing.
