MTN announces Women in ICT awards judges

MTN has announced the group of people who will be adjudicating the Women in ICT – Partnership for Change Awards during the upcoming weekend.

The awards are running its second edition this year. The judging panel will be tasked with reviewing hundreds of entries submitted since the nomination period opened last month.

The awards seek to celebrate and reward women professionals who have made a significant contribution towards the growth and development of the sector.

The expert panel includes:

  • CEO of Kagiso Media, Mark Harris;
  • CEO of Strategy Worx and ICT commentator, Steven Ambrose;
  • Media expert and former station manager of Talk Radio 702, Pheladi Gwangwa;
  • Dean and Professor of Chemistry Education at University of Pretoria, Prof. Nthabiseng Ogude;
  • CEO: Black Umbrellas, Seapei Mafoyane;
  • Founder and CEO of CrashDetech, Jaco Gerrits;
  • Print Editor of Brainstorm, Larry Claasen;
  • Online Editor of Brainstorm, Matthew Burbidge;
  • Editor of The Star, Japhet Ncube;
  • MD: SA Communication Forum, Katharina Pillay;
  • MTN Chief HR Officer at MTN SA, Nhlanhla Qwabe;
  • Executive: Corporate Services at MTN SA, Graham de Vries;
  • Executive: Consumer at MTN SA, Mapula Bodibe;
  • General Manager: Enterprise at MTN SA, Mandisa Ntloko;
  • CEO: Ditshego Media Group, Tebogo Ditshego;
  • CEO: DotNXT, Annette Muller;
  • Chairperson of SA Women in Tech, Charmaine Houvet

The adjudication process will take place between 18th and 20th August before the winners in each of the 10 categories are announced at a gala event to be held on 31st August 2017.
