Finally, a trailer for the new Tomb Raider movie drops

Can you believe that it’s been 16 years since Angelina Jolie donned dual-pistols and a pony-tail for the first silver-screen adaptation of the Tomb Raider franchise?

Some might argue that 16 years is not long enough to forget those films but we have good news for those people.

The first trailer for the latest portrayal of Lara Croft dropped earlier this morning and it is awesome, check it out below.

Gamers will notice a number of familiar call backs to the game including the nefarious organisation Trinity and Lara Croft’s propensity for falling down though that is the beauty of Lara Croft – fall downing and getting back up again fighting harder than ever.

The role of Croft is being played by Alicia Vikander (who does look like she was born to play Lara) and her deceased father -Lord Richard Croft – will be played by Dominic West.

Father Mathias Vogel (the main antagonist in the game) will be played by Walton Goggins.

We’re rather excited to see this film mostly because we have played Tomb Raider enough times to recite the game from start to finish and partly because we need to erase the previous films from our minds.

Tom Raider is slated for release on 16th March 2018.
