Make a GameCube Classic Mini with this 3D print and a Raspberry Pi

With Nintendo seemingly going through their old consoles and releasing them as “Classic Mini” versions, one maker has taken it upon themselves to skip ahead to the GameCube.

User “Sparrows89” has created this 3D printed enclosure for a Raspberry Pi with the intention of turning it into an emulator, even if the Pi itself may not be able to run the games from this console specifically.

At 100 X 100 X 75 millimetres, this isn’t exactly a cube, but it does fit the larger Raspberry Pi B+ with ample room for cooling, cabling and anything else you’d need for a custom emulator.

You can find the files to print your own on both MyMiniFactory and Thingiverse. They’re sliced by colour so you can create something close to the test print below without needing to paint, provided you have the right colours of filament. We suggest stocking up on purple.

If you’re more of a SNES person, don’t forget that you can 3D print that one too and avoid all the stock problems on the horizon for the official version.
