Not one, not two, but three new iPhones may be announced this week

This week Tim Cook will take to stage to announce the latest iPhone.

Of course, Apple hasn’t explicitly said that it will be announcing a new handset but history dictates that every year at around this time Apple announces a new phone.

But this year it appears as if Apple fans won’t be getting one or two new handsets, but three.

The rumour comes to us via developer Steve Troughton-Smith who spotted the names of the handset in a leaked version of the iPhone firmware.

As you can see from the tweet above we might be seeing the iPhone 8, 8s and a new iPhone X. For those that are confused by the “X”, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the original iPhone.

The developers goes on to point out a few other features he spotted in the firmware including a 12MP rear camera sensor capable of shooting 4K video at 60 frames per second and Full HD video at 240 frames per second.

Sadly none of this is confirmed and we’re going to have to wait until tomorrow for Apple to announce the exact specifications of the latest iPhone.

While we wait for that however, the YouTube channel Unbox Therapy has managed to get its hands on a supposed prototypes of the new Apple handset which you can check out for yourself in the video below.
