The night vision goggles from Archer can now be 3D printed

Despite its popularity, we’ve seen very few prints from the show Archer. Luckily Halloween has brought out the maker spirit in people and we have a creation from the show for your 3D printer.

These night vision goggles were seen in a few episodes and were created by Thingiverse user Brooks Carpenter. When we spoke to Carpenter he told us that it took him around four hours to design the goggles in Tinkercad and a further eight hours to print them out, not counting an initial failed print which didn’t have the right curve.

The printing was done in black filament and smoothed down with many rounds of sandpaper, finally being finished with Rust-Oleum paint.

The two sides are joined together with some straps from swimming goggles and the lenses were accomplished with some green welding shield covered with a neon green mesh vinyl sticker.

To make your own you’ll need the files from Thingiverse. Carpenter also told us that while if someone were to commission him for a finished pair he would charge around $80 so get in contact with him if you’re not keen on making your own.
