iPhone X available in SA next week from R20 499

After trying to guess what Apple’s new iPhone X would cost when it landed on South Africa we finally have a price.

The iStore revealed that the iPhone X would be available at a starting price of R20 499 for the 64GB iteration and a R23 999 price tag for the 256GB iteration.

iStore customers that hold a iStore Card will be able to purchase the handset on contract at a starting price of R955 per month over 24 months.

The iPhone X will be available on 24th November which is next week Friday.

The iStore is also giving customers a haircut on an extended 2-year warranty which they can pick up for R499. This warranty includes screen repair coverage and usually costs R1 999.

If you don’t want to take a gamble on the availability of the iPhone X you can pre-order the handset through the iStore’s website and have it delivered to your door on Friday.

The iPhone X boasts a number of firsts for Apple including wireless charging, dust and water resistance and an all new FaceID security system.

Naturally since its release FaceID has been the target of hackers trying to crack Apple’s security. To date only one firm has managed to fool FaceID using a 3D printed mask but family members appear to be the real risk for those wanting to keep their privacy intact.
