Oats Studios continues to taunt us with new short film Gdansk

Neill Blomkamp’s Oats Studios continues to pump out intriguing short films, both satiating our taste for the weird and wonderful, yet teasing us with a lack of a full length feature.

So far, we’ve had an alien dystopia, a monster movie set in Vietnam, a questionable culinary show and a film about a weirdly assembled human being, but (altogether now) no full film.

It’s frustrating sure, more so that the latest release from Oats is yet another short film, but hey, at this point we’ll take what we can get.

Step forward then the latest creation to usher forth from Oats Studios doors: Gdansk. Well, Gdansk part 1 if you’re being technical. Before we go into what this puppy looks like, have a gander at the clip below. Depending on where you work, this may be NSFW, so be advised.

By turns chilling, gory and impressive, this little short is one of the bleakest clips we’ve seen in a while. God knows what lies in store for the peasants left alive by the end of it, but since this is part 1 of Gdansk, we may yet find out.

Now could Netflix, or Showmax or some other studio or service please offer Oats a picture deal? As much as we love these tasty, tasty morsels, we’re about ready now for a full length film.

Please. Pretty please. With sugar on top.
