Scribblenauts Showdown announced for the Switch with a terrible trailer

Last night Scribblenauts Showdown was revealed to the world by a short trailer that manages to both tell you nothing about the game, and irritate you with an obnoxious voice over.

Going by the descriptions provided Showdown looks to be a party game above all else with up to four players and even CPU opponents if you can’t get your friends over to play.

Other confirmed features include character customisation, eight sandbox levels and some kind of card-based strategy element in the multiplayer Showdown Mode.

We’re not sure how this or the other claimed 25 minigames are going to work in the Scribblenauts formula, especially with some released screenshots showing off rhythm games.

Scribblenauts Showdown is already listed on the local Nintendo eShop at a rather hefty R629 and it’s open for pre-orders before a 9th March launch, but we really suggest waiting it out on this one, even if you’re a huge fan of the past Scribblenauts games.
