President Trump’s 2017 Fake News Awards – all the winners

It’s that time of year folks, the winners of the highly-anticipated 2017 Fake News Awards have been announced by President Donald Trump.

What’s that? You’ve never heard of the Fake News Awards? That’s odd because according to Team GOP who penned the post about the awards described them as “highly-anticipated”. Odd.

The awards serve as a black list of every news outlet that got something wrong about President Trump during his first term in office.

“2017 was a year of unrelenting bias, unfair news coverage, and even downright fake news. Studies have shown that over 90% of the media’s coverage of President Trump is negative,” says Team GOP. Note, negative does not mean incorrect. Saying Trump has small hands might not be very nice but you’d be hard pressed to say that it’s not true.

The “winners” include The New York Times’ Paul Krugman who claimed that the US economy wouldn’t recover once Trump had the reigns.

CNN made multiple appearances in the awards, once for reporting Trump and Donald Trump Junior had early access to stolen documents leaked by WikiLeaks.

Newsweek also received a nod for reporting that Polish first lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda did not shake Trump’s hand during a visit.

The full list of winners includes New York Times, Washington Post, TIMES, Newsweek and CNN. It would appear as if FOX News gets everything right.

That, or President Trump is a fan.

The awards concluded with a list of Trump’s achievements which include creating 2 million jobs since his inauguration, declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and appointing Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.

Are there any news outlets you believe were left out of the awards? Let us know who Trump missed over on Twitter.
