The yearly gather of the geeks, nerds, gamers, cosplayers and other fringe cultures known as rAge is happening in Johannesburg once again this year.

We know that rAge is a staple on the local event calendar but last year the Cape Town leg of the expo was cancelled so it’s nice to see the organisers are still seeing interest in the Jozi expo.

An event created by the rAge Expo Facebook page reveals that this year’s event will run from 5th October to 7th October and will once again be held at the Ticketpro Dome.

This marks rAge’s 16th birthday and given how few geeky events there are for folks to attend we expect to see a massive attendance once again.

Last year 35 845 people attended rAge and 2 000 gamers played through the weekend at the NAG LAN.

There’s no word yet on how much tickets for the event will be but we will be sure to update you when that news comes down the wire.

For now though book your leave, mark your diaries and gather your mates; rAge is a go for October.
