Deadpool battles for title of World’s Best Lover in latest trailer

A new Deadpool 2 trailer has been released that showcases not only our favourite merc with a mouth, but Cable as well.

The trailer kicks off with Josh Brolin as Cable talking about how his character was born into war and how much pain he’s felt before Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool stops the trailer so the CGI artist can put in Cable’s mechanical arm.

While we wait for that we’re treated to a recreation of the film by Deadpool. Saying any more would spoil it so take a look at it for yourself.

Oh and it should go without saying but we’ll say it anyway, this trailer is absolutely not safe for work.

So we get to see Brolin fighting, Reynolds fighting and… wait a minute, was that the X-Force?

At the 1:39 mark there’s a shot of Deadpool at the back of a plane accompanied by four other individuals (one of whom looks remarkably like Terry Crews). The internet seems to believe that this may be the beginnings of the Cable’s team of mercenaries but quite honestly that’s a matter of speculation.

Hoping to find some sort of answers to the mysteries of the trailer we turned to 20th Century Fox’s synopsis of the movie and well, it’s not helpful at all.

“After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.”

Is that the X-Force? Will Wade Wilson regain his sense of taste? All these answers and hopefully more will be revealed come Deadpool 2’s release on 18th May.
