Roguelike Slasher’s Keep enters Early Access with a new trailer

If you’ve been on Imgur in the last few months you may have come across gifs of an upcoming game called Slasher’s Keep, and it’s now available to buy.

Lone developer Damian Schloter has been sharing snippets of the unique art style and promising first person melee, combined with loot and the ability to craft weapons.

The game is available right now on Steam for R89.10, which is 10% off the usual price of only R99 until 16th February. The page states that it should be in Early Access for five to seven months with a possible small increase in price once it launches its 1.0 version.

We’re really excited for this game but have our usual worries about being burnt out on a game before it releases properly, and the heartbreak of another disappointing first person roguelike after Strafe.

We think the melee may be the difference maker here, especially when most of the games in this genre rely on shooting. If we’re impatient and pick it up, we’ll let you know how it is.

If you want to know more about Slasher’s Keep there’s a full list of features on the game’s site and, of course, the trailer is embedded below.
