We over at htxt make no secret of the fact that we’re fans of Pacific Rim. Really, who isn’t?

The film is about giant robots battling giant monsters and destroying entire cities in the process. What more do you want? So to say we’re rather excited about the upcoming Pacific Rim Uprising is something of an understatement.

So naturally, when the news arrived that IMAX’s YouTube account had dropped a trailer for it, we had to head over there and take a look – and we had to share it with you. Have a gander at it below:

Yes, there’s not a hell of a lot to unpack here. There are giant robots, a nasty monster and tons of buildings that are destroyed like so many Lego sets. All good stuff, really.

The only worry we have is that this trailer may contain all the best scenes from the movie. We sincerely hope that this is merely a showcase of one of the many, many battles the film has in it.

Pacific Rim Uprising goes on global release on March 23rd. It might actually be worth trekking out to an IMAX cinema for this one. It really looks like you should see it on the biggest screen you can find.
