Google recommends these smartphones for businesses

Google has created a shortlist of smartphones that business can consider when choosing to equip employees.

This shortlist forms part of Google’s new Android Enterprise Recommended programme. The handsets on this shortlist meet a number of minimum requirements including security.

For a handset to be included it must support at least Android 7.0, be available as an unlocked device from the manufacturer or reseller and must be able to be mass enrolled within a device.

Interestingly Google also requires that security patches from the manufacturer are delivered within 90 days of their release. The full list of requirements can be viewed here.
