The Crew 2 has a release date

Ubisoft has announced that the sequel to its open world arcade racer, The Crew 2, will finally see release on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 29th June this year.

The news will be music to the ears of fans of the franchise; the game was originally slated to come out this month, but was delayed in December last year, with a release date slated for sometime between April and December this year. At the time, developer Ivory Tower cited the usual reasons for delay – you know, extra polish, higher quality, delivering a better experience and so on and so on.

Now that there’s a firm release date in place, players may want to head over to the game’s official site and register for the beta.

The game’s release date announcement was naturally accompanied by news of various editions and preorder bonuses.

If you buy The Crew 2 Gold Edition you get a steelbook case, a season pass, and the Motorsport Deluxe Pack. This includes unique vehicles, outfits and vehicles including the Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck 2017, Abarth 500 2008 Monster Truck Edition and the Pilatus PC-21. If you pick up the Motor Edition you get all of the above and a Crew 2 American license plate, a map of the game, and four stickers.

If you preorder the game you get The Crew 2 Legendary Motors Pack, which includes the Mercedes AMG C 63 Touring Car and the Harley-Davidson Iron 883.
