Mega Man X collections coming to console and PC in July

The Mega Man X games have been bundled into two Legacy Collections and will be coming to most hardware on 24th July of this year.

This was announced late yesterday in a trailer which ends with the reveal of a new mode: X Challenge where you can fight two bosses at once.

There’s a lot of other, non-playable inclusions here to sweeten the deal too. There’s a high-resolution filter option, and a “museum” which contains videos, music and images of the games.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 will contain Mega Man X 1 to 4, and the Legacy Collection 2 will contain games 5 to 8.

For those on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, both collections will be available in one physical box with each collection on its own disc.

Nintendo Switch players are again screwed over here. The physical release will be a game card for the first collection, and then a download code for the second one.

The collections will also be available separately at $19.99 each with the PC versions available on Steam.

If you’re itching to play Mega Man on new systems before July, the original Legacy Collections will be available in May, grouping together the first ten games.
