Shudderwock is being changed but not in the way you hoped

The bane of all players that have time for “one quick game of Hearthstone” – Shudderwock – is being changed.

Mind you the change is not to the card’s power level (because it’s really not that powerful) but rather to how the card works.

A post by Blizzard community manager Jesse Hill reveals how Team 5 will change Shudderwock.

“In a future update, we will be doubling the animation speed of Shudderwock’s Battlecry so it will lessen the impact on the overall pacing of your current Hearthstone match,” wrote Hill.

Blizzard will also cap the amount of Battlecries Shudderwock can reproduce at 20. We’re hoping this change extends to the Murmuring Elemental combo which allows Shudderwock to reproduce Battlecries twice.

Another card getting its animation sped up is Lifedrinker. The animation takes a bit too long for Blizzard’s liking and as a result, it is being sped up as well.

Lifedrinker is getting a faster animation.

We’re quite glad that Blizzard didn’t bring the nerf hammer down on Shudderwock as it has with so many other cards. Truth be told, the card isn’t all that powerful and can be quite fun to play.

Oh and before we forget, remember that The Witchwood Monster Hunt is being released this week.
