Deadpool does interpretive dance in Céline Dion’s video for Ashes

Growing up, French-Canadian songstress Céline Dion was topping charts left and right thanks to Titanic, and her impressive vocal prowess of course.

After stepping out of the limelight somewhat in recent years Dion comes roaring back into the mainstream today because she has collaborated with everybody’s favourite anti-hero: Deadpool.

Dion’s new track Ashes appears on the Deadpool 2 soundtrack and the video for that single was released today.

While the video starts off with Dion alone on stage in an empty theater, the video takes a strange turn when Deadpool appears to do some interpretative dancing, in heels.

The song is really rather good and Ryan Reynolds (who plays Deadpool in the film) breaks the sombreness of the song with his trademark humour at the end of the video.

Confusing as it may be to see Deadpool and Dion together it does make a degree of sense. The original film was unabashed in its use of music from the 80s and 90s so who better than to appear on the second film’s soundtrack than the Grammy-winning artist who was a household name following the release of Titanic.

Deadpool 2 hits theaters on 18th May although some local cinemas appear to be taking bookings for the 17th of May according to the Deadpool 2 website.
