Vodacom will live stream the Royal Wedding on View+

This weekend Prince Henry of Wales is set to marry Meghan Markle and the UK is ramping up preparations for the event.

The wedding will take place at the historic St. Georges’s Chapel and Vodacom has announced it will be live-streaming the entire event.

The network operator will make this possible through its View+ platform.

“As we prepare to showcase our Vodacom View+ offering, the opportunity for customers to live stream the Royal Wedding is a small sample of what to expect from the platform. South Africans want access to global events and Vodacom is committed to making content accessible to everyone,” managing executive at Vodacom, Ashraff Paruk, said in a media statement sent to htxt.

South Africans will be able to stream the build-up to the wedding on the 17th and 18th May for free through View+, but the actual wedding on the 19th will require viewers pay an access fee of R29.

Vodacom adds that video-on-demand content will be available after the wedding for R9.

You can head to the View+ website now to sign up for the service.

View+ is available to anybody whether they are a Vodacom subscriber or not.
