Bethesda unveils Fallout 76

Three years have passed since Bethesda Softworks released Fallout 4 and today it revealed the next game in the franchise – Fallout 76.

The publisher teased a Fallout announcement in a tweet yesterday but aside from rampant speculation from fans, we had no idea what to expect from the next game.

Thankfully Bethesda has just dropped a teaser trailer for the new game which you can check out below.

Just keep your expectations in check, it’s only around 90 seconds of footage.

So while that trailer doesn’t tell us very much about the game it does reveal a few things.

First and foremost we’ve seen or rather heard, of Vault 76 before, in Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.

This vault is meant to be a “control vault” against which many experiments conducted in the other vaults can be measured.

This vault is also said to have opened 20 years after the nuclear war so it will be interesting to see what Bethesda does in a world that is still fresh with nuclear fallout.

Kotaku reports that Fallout 76 might be an online game. Something similar to The Elder Scrolls Online but set in the Wasteland might be fun.

Of course this could just be Fallout 4’s New Vegas.

If like us your curiousity has been piqued then be sure to tune into Bethesda’s E3 Showcase on 10th June at 03:30 CAT which will be streamed live on Twitch. We should get more answers then.
