GloCell customers on Cell C are being moved to Cell C this month

A few years back GloCell acquired a number of MTN, Vodacom and Cell C contract subscribers from Altech Autopage when that firm closed doors.

Now, GloCell has announced that it will cede control of Cell C contracts to Cell C.

GloCell customers with a Cell C contract will slowly be handed over to Cell C throughout July until the transition process has run its course. Cell C expects this process to be completed midway through July.

“We are excited to welcome GloCell contract customers to Cell C and believe this will result in a positive customer experience with Cell C’s extensive distribution and service network, now available to these customers,” Cell C chief executive officer Jose dos Santos said in a media statement.

Cell C says it is trying to make the transition as smooth as possible adding that it has put measures in place to insure that customers coming from GloCell are adequately supported.

“We will do everything in our power to ensure a smooth migration for GloCell contract customers to Cell C and have put in place a dedicated team to ensure that all customers being migrated from GloCell will receive the best possible service and support,” said dos Santos.

Cell C has said that normal service should continue during the transition phase and that the firms will endeavour to communicate with customers regarding the transition.
