New cast assembled for IT: Chapter Two filming

Despite not being as terrifying as the early 90s TV series starring Tim Curry as Pennywise the Clown, last year’s IT remake proved a success with moviegoers and fans of the Stephen King novel alike.

Now it’s time for the second part of the story to come to fruition, with filming of IT: Chapter Two set to begin in coming weeks. New Line Cinema, the studio behind the project, have also assembled their new Losers Club members, all of whom are older than the original cast.

Notable inclusions for the cast include Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough and Bill Hader as Richie Tozier.

You can see which adult stars replace their younger counterparts below.

Bill Skarsgard is also set to reprise his role as Pennywise, with the clown returning to the fictional town of Derry, Maine 27 years after the events of the first film.

Those unfamiliar with the Stephen King novel should not expect the same sort of action/horror in Chapter Two that the first film delivered, with a more Lovecraftian take on things that may include the addition of a giant magical turtle.

With filming for IT: Chapter Two set to get underway shortly, we won’t have to wait long for the film to hit cinemas, as it is set for early September 2019.
