After around a year of waiting, the massive free expansion for Enter the Gungeon – Advanced Gungeons & Draguns – has launched on all platforms.

To mark the occasion the title has been halved in price for a limited amount of time. You can head on over to Steam, GOG, Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store or the Microsoft Store Online to find it with the discount.

As the game was already well-priced, this is just another push for those still on the fence about this title. It’s also one of the rare games where the Switch version’s regional pricing is on par with that on Steam, making it one of the cheapest, quality games on Nintendo’s hardware.

The full patch notes give a detailed rundown of all the new content added to the game as well as the various bug fixes.

The headlining additions are all the new guns, enemies, NPCs and equipment. The developers have also promised that the loot drop rates have been improved to make it kinder to new players, but we put in a few hours last night and we’re not too sure about that as there’s also a new NPC action which steals loot.

Our favourite addition so far is turbo mode which make this already fast bullet hell roguelike even faster. It’s going to be a godsend for veteran player who want to grind out certain activities, as well as speedrunners.

There’s also a new animated trailer which shows off a few of the new parts of the game, which you can watch below.

As always Enter the Gungeon gets our complete endorsement and you really should pick it up at this reduced rate if you haven’t head. The game will beat you down at the start, however, so use our beginner’s guide to get through it.
