In case you weren’t aware, Spiderman nemesis Venom is getting his (its?) own movie.

While we’ve already seen a glimpse of Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock the latest trailer gives us a better look at Venom’s power.

In this trailer we see more of Brock poking his nose into things he shouldn’t just like any good hack would and coming away with something he didn’t bargain on, Venom.

Aside from detailing how he’s going to eat folks and calling one of them a turd, we actually get a glimpse of another symbiote, Riot.

In the film this symbiote bonds to Carlton Drake played by Riz Ahmed and from what we can see, a battle between Venom and Riot ensues. In an interview with IGN, director Ruben Fleischer revealed that Riot was far stronger than Venom and that the symbiotes (there are more as you can see in the trailer) are all connected to each other.

We’re quite excited to see Hardy as Venom and his quips throughout the trailers give us hope that while Venom will be a violent threat to humanity, there will be some humour thrown in for good measure.

Venom is set to be released on 5th October.
