Local distributor of Apple and myriad accessories, Core Group has announced that it is now an official distributor of DJI products in South Africa.

The firm is not the only distributor of DJI equipment and accessories however, retailers such as Droneworld will still be stocking the products in an official capacity, Core’s deal just means more folks will be bringing the gear in.

While DJI is known for its drones, the firm also manufacturers gimbals such as the DJI Ronin-S and other accessories. Whether Core Group will be bringing these accessories to South Africa is unclear but marketing executive at Core Group Linda van der Nest tells us there will be a number of accessories available for drones.

“We will range all pertinent accessories to the drones that we are bringing in, including batteries, propellers and remote controls,” says van der Nest.

Sadly Core Group tells us that it will not be stocking older Phantom drones from DJI but with drones such as the Inspire 2 out now this isn’t all that big a loss to our minds.

As for service and support Core Group says that this will be handled by authorised DJI technicians.

A number of DJI products can already be found on the iStore website but van der Nest tells us that Core Group will be distributing DJI products to existing retailers as well.

Hopefully this means we’re able to find more DJI gear in more retailers soon.
