Samsung leaks yet another look at the Galaxy Note 9 ahead of time

By this time next week Samsung would have unveiled its new Galaxy Note 9 smartphone, but for some reason the South Korean manufacturer is intent of leaking the device in full ahead of time.

The latest leak occurred when Samsung create a pre-order page for the Galaxy Note 9, which has since been deleted, but not before serial leaker Evan Blass spotted the listing.

He shared a screenshot of the pre-order page, pasted below, showcasing the back of the Galaxy Note 9 with a newly designed S Pen sitting atop.

While we may be reading too much into the rendered image, what is interesting to see is the difference in colour between the smartphone and stylus.

Past Note devices have featured a stylus that matches the colour of the smartphone, so if the Galaxy Note 9 changes this, it could be an interesting aspect of the phone.

We say that as recent reports suggest that very little has been improved upon for the Note 9 compared to its predecessor.

The main changes include a shift of the fingerprint sensor and slightly smaller bezels for the Infinity Display. The only significant improvement appears to be with the S Pen, which is said to have added Bluetooth functionality, allowing users to operate it like a remote, or toggle on and off other connected devices.

Whether that’s going to be enough to entice consumers remains to be seen, but if reports that the Galaxy S9 is not selling as well as expected, the same may happen for the larger and productivity-focused Note 9.
