Enter the Gungeon’s Shotgun Kin blasts onto your 3D printer

We’re still pouring hours into Enter the Gungeon’s AGD expansion, but we’re considering putting down the Switch to start up the 3D printer and make a Shotgun Kin for our desk.

User “illidaaaan” has created this miniature of the enemy, telling us that they decided to take on the project because it’s “just so cute!”.

Modelling was done in Autodesk Inventor in just 25 minutes. While this model is on the simple side, we’re still surprised that they managed to make something so accurate in such a short amount of time.

Printing, on the other hand, took much longer at around six and a half hours. In the gallery below you can see the process it went through from straight off the print right to the finished piece.

To make your own start with the files available for free on Thingiverse. The version on this page is 12.8 centimetres tall and 5 centimetres in diameter, but you can always scale it as you see fit.

You’ll only need three colours for painting here as the actual shotgun this enemy uses is not included. This print is also not sanded smooth with the paint being applied directly, so pick some up if you don’t like how this looks.

Turning this design into a Blue, Veteran or even Ashen variant should just be a matter of changing up the colours, but we hope someone takes the files and makes a few remixes for the other types. The Shotgrub would work nicely with a flexible filament or some print-in-place joints.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen maker projects based on Enter the Gungeon. Back in 2017 we featured both the Bullet and Shotgun Kin made by another user.

Unfortunately these were not painted and the Bullet Kin hadn’t even been printed yet. Seeing a finished product like this gives us a better idea of what ours could look like before committing the filament to a print.
