Fix PUBG is a developer-led initiative to improve the game

While still a tremendously popular game, PUBG is in need of some fixing with its online community venting frustration over a buggy gaming experience. The developers of the title, PUBG Corporation, is fundamentally aware of the issues plaguing its game, which is why it’s announced a new initiative called Fix PUBG.

The initiative aims to address all of the bug issues that are effecting the gaming experience, along with adding some much-needed fixes and improvements to certain elements of the gameplay.

As for how the developer plans to do so, a detailed roadmap has also been placed on the Fix PUBG website. There are several aspects that the developer plans to address in PUBG over the next three months.

“Fix PUBG is a months-long campaign to deliver the changes and improvements that you’ve been asking for. We’ve created a roadmap with specific details about our plans, and we intend to update it as we go, checking things off as we deliver on our promises,” explains the developer’s website.

Items on the roadmap include character and level streaming optimisation, as well as improvements to the network code and the implementation of a combined anti-cheat solution.

Added to this will be faster and smarter matchmaking, along with the tackling of quality of life issues for PUBG.

The process of fixing the game has already begun for PC and Xbox versions of the game, with a large update listing 100-plus planned fixes releasing today. 37 of the fixes are said to have been addressed, tackling simpler and more complex issues.

The need for PUBG to listen to its community and tackle issues effecting the game is vital, especially if they wish to counter the increased popularity of Fortnite.

PUBG still has a very loyal gamer base, with The Verge noting that the title hit a peak of 1. 179 million concurrent players on Steam recently, which is twice the figure of Dota 2 on the same platform.

The Fix PUBG initiative seems to have come at just the right time.
