Resident Evil 2 Collector’s Edition will set you back R3 999

January is usually a tough month when it comes to finances and it’s about to get worse with the announcement of the Resident Evil 2 Collector’s Edition.

The remake of the 1998 survival horror game is set to launch on 25th January 2019 and the Collector’s Edition is very tempting despite carrying a recommended retail price of R3 999. Ouch!

For that dough you get a Steelbook which contains the game, a 12 inch Leon Kennedy Figure and these additional items.

  • Limited Edition R.P.D. Keys
  • Collector’s Item Box
  • Artbook & Soundtrack CD
  • ‘Made in Heaven’ Pin Badge
  • Poster
  • Deluxe DLC Pack Card

The DLC includes the original soundtrack from the 1998 game, the Arklay Sheriff and Noir costumes for Leon Kennedy, Military, Noir and Elza Walker costumes for Claire Redfield and the Samurai Edge – Albert Model deluxe weapon.

If R3 999 is too pricey you can pick up the Resident Evil 2 Steelbook Edition which contains the full game and the Elza Walker costume for Claire.

There is also some DLC for those who pre-order a physical copy of the game from “participating retailers”. This DLC is the, Deluxe Weapon: Samurai Edge – Chris Model and the Deluxe Weapon: Samurai Edge – Jill Model.
