Fujifilm launches the Instax SQ6 instant camera in South Africa

Fujifilm South Africa has a new instant camera to offer local photographers – the Instax Square SQ6.

We recently got the chance to review this snapper, which sports a design reminiscent of the Instagram logo and working only with square instant film to yield a 1:1 print (62 X 62 mm).

The Instax SQ6 is now available at local photography stores with a recommended price tag of R1 999. There are also three different colour options, with a blush gold, graphite grey and pearl white variant.

The film for the SQ6 comes in 10 and 20 packs, with the latter costing roughly R200 depending on the retailer.

As far as different modes go, the SQ6 has a standard automatic mode, as well as landscape, selfie, macro and dual exposure.

Should the analog design of the Instax SQ6 not appeal to you, Fujifilm also has the SQ10 which features a screen on the rear for previewing pictures before printing. There’s also the Share SP-3 printer which allows you to print the images on your smartphone in the same instant camera format.

For a more in-depth look at the new Instax SQ6, be sure to give our review a read.
