Fingerprint capture for criminal and identity checks now available at Jetline

Thanks to a partnership with MyImprint, businesses and individuals can now run criminal record and identity checks at Jetline stores.

MyImprint is a startup that operates an online portal through which identity verifications and criminal record checks can be conducted easily.

Through its partnership with Jetline, MyImprint is able to capture fingerprints more easily. This means that a business could ask its employees to head to a Jetline store to capture their digits.

From there checks can be requested through the MyImprint online portal. ID and Passport numbers can be used as well.

“We’re excited to open up the ability to verify criminal records and identities to everyone, by making our technology accessible to all South Africans. With security being top of mind for all of us, it’s important that we make use of these advancements – not only for convenience, but also for safety,” says co-founder of MyImprint, Daniel Shefer.

How MyImprint works.

The firm says that high employee turnover is a big risk for local businesses and the lack of formal screening contributes to this risk. With MyImprint now being easily available, employers are better equipped to weed out those with a criminal record.

But MyImprint is not just for businesses, individuals can use the service as well.

“We’re all so consumed with paying a fortune on security to keep criminals out of our homes and businesses, that we forget about those that we may be opening our doors to every day. We truly believe that by rolling out national capture locations, an easy-to-use platform, and innovative verification technology, we can help companies reduce staff turnover and give homeowners peace of mind about their personal safety,” says Shefer.

Pricing for the service ranges from R299 for a criminal record verification, from R87 for identification verification and from R350 for a combination of the two. Pricing varies according to how many verifications you need to do a month so we recommend visiting the MyImprint website for more information.

To use MyImprint you’ll need to sign up for an account and you can find your closest Jetline store using this handy map.
