For many gamers the original PlayStation brings back fond memories and now you can relive them, for a price.
Released in 1994 the original PlayStation (not the PSOne) was a hulking beast that became the first console to ship 100 million units. It was home to classic games such as Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 3 and more.
For anybody hankering for a chance to relive the good old days of PlayStation gaming we have good news: Sony has revealed the PlayStation Classic.
The console will come pre-loaded with 20 classic titles including Final Fantasy VII, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms.
In a blog by PlayStation it reveals that the Classic console is 45 percent smaller than the original consoles.
PlayStation Classic will include two controllers sans analog sticks, an HDMI cable, a USB cable but not a USB power adapter.
PlayStation Classic is set to release on 3rd December which is the same date the original console was released in case you want to send your nostalgia into overdrive.
Local pricing isn’t available at this stage but the console will priced at $99.99 (~R1 477 at current exchange rates) in the US.
