A 10GB RAM version of the Oppo Find X is heading to China

2018 has seen a number of smartphones from Chinese manufacturers make waves. The latest to do so is a new version of the Oppo Find X, with a 10GB RAM model headed to China later this year.

This is a first for the world of mobile, with no other production-level smartphones touting such an abundance of RAM.

The new variant of Oppo Find X was first spotted by GizmoChina, with the details of the device surfacing in a leaked screenshot from Twitter user @UniverseIce.

As the tweet says, if true the latest offering from Oppo will indeed be a first, but it still remains to be seen whether the company can beat others to market.

The Asus ROG phone (not coming to SA) was rumoured to feature 10GB RAM, and Vivo’s Xplay7 is said to do the same, but neither have launched sporting the increased capacity.

Along with the 10GB RAM, the new Oppo Find X is also said to feature 256GB of onboard storage. In terms of memory then it should have you covered and then some.

With their being no word on whether the Oppo Find X would ever reach our shores, we’ll have to wait for more established manufacturers like Samsung or Huawei to debut a 10GB RAM device.

With the new 512GB Galaxy Note 9 housing 8GB RAM, the wait should not be that long.
