FCC leak reveals Huawei GT smartwatch

Huawei has a new smartwatch in the works.

This according to a recently discovered image by WinFuture of a device called the Huawei GT.

The smartwatch is said to be the Chinese manufacturer’s follow-up to the Huawei Watch 2 which was unveiled more than 18 months ago at MWC 17.

Whether or not the Huawei GT will fare better than previous Huawei wearables remains to be seen, but on the surface it looks like there won’t be much new of this latest piece of hardware.

In terms of specifications, a filing by the FCC says that the Huawei GT will have a 450 mAh battery that will give it a full week worth of battery life. There are also said to be three models of the GT hitting the market, with Classic, Fashion and all-black Sport variants.

It will come fitted with the standard bevy of sensors as well, with Bluetooth, GPS, heart rate monitor, compass, pressure sensor and NFC all mentioned.

No word on when the devices will be unveiled, but with Huawei set to debut the Mate 20 later this month, it would seem the natural time and place.
