DCC serves up the Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 for the channel

Local distributor DCC has a new Dell offering for the South African channel, with the Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 notebook now available.

We’re big fans of the XPS 13, so we are quite intrigued to see what the larger of the two can offer.

Looking at the specifications for this notebook, it looks primed to handle whatever is thrown at it from a business and productivity perspective.

“The Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 has walked away with numerous industry and reviewer awards, and with good reason. It undoubtedly represents the next evolution in PC usage, combining excellent functionality and usage in a powerful 2-in-1 package – an important game changer in a very competitive marketplace,” says Heinrich Pretorius, Dell EMC consumer product specialist at DCC.

To that end the 15.6″ screen serves up, up to 4K UHD visuals, along with sporting the Dell InfinityEdge display design which yields a 4.7mm bezel that’s 18 percent thinner compared to its predecessor.

It’s also fully touch enabled and can rotate vertically to allow the XPS 15 2-in-1 to be used in a few different modes, such as tent, tablet display and of course the standard notebook orientation.

This versatility means Dell is not only marketing it to the normal business crowd, with creatives also capable of using it.

In terms of the internal specification, an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 (8305G) or i7 (8705G) processor is present depending on the configuration of the XPS 15.

As for memory, RAM ranges from 8GB to 16GB DDR4 and there is either a 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD on offer.

When it comes to recommended pricing, DCC says the Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 starts at R35 999 and tops out at R46 999, depending on the specification of components you opt for.
