Dell’s new 49inch monitor is designed with productivity in mind

Dell has unveiled a slew of new UltraSharp monitors that are focused on increasing productivity.

There are five new monitors in total namely:

  • Dell UltraSharp 49inch Curved (U4919DW)
  • Dell UltraSharp 32inch 4K USB-C (U3219Q)
  • Dell UltraSharp 34inch Curved USB-C (U3419W)
  • Dell UltraSharp 24inch USB-C (U2419HC)
  • Dell UltraSharp 27inch USB-C (U2719DC)

How does a monitor increase productivity? Good question.

Dell has added all sorts of functionality to the aforementioned monitors, particularly the 49inch, 32inch and 34inch variants.

These three monitors all boast Picture-by-Picture technology which allows users to connect two PCs to one monitor so that both PCs can be used.

The monitors can even be used to power up a notebook’s battery thanks to USB-C connectivity that can transfer power and data.

For added productivity, a built-in keyboard, mouse and video switch allows users to use the same mouse and keyboard to control both PCs.

The 49inch Curved monitor is the real star of the show here though. The monitor is massive and boasts a 32:9 aspect ratio and Dell says its a fitting replacement for two 27inch QHD monitors.

Two PCs, one monitor.

The display uses an IPS panel and has a resolution of 5 120 x 1 440.

Our favourite monitor from this line-up, however, is the 32inch 4K monitor.

Aside from a 4K resolution this also has Display HDR 400 certification from VESA. This should be ideal for content creators who are looking for the most accurate colour representation.

Pricing for these new UltraSharp monitors starts at $349.99 in the US where they are available right now. Unfortunately we don’t have local pricing just yet or whether these monitors will be made available locally.

When we have that information we’ll be sure to update you.
