Pokémon’s infamous Lavender Town returns in the new Let’s Go games

To celebrate Halloween Pokémon has released a trailer focused on the most appropriate part of the original games that will be brought back to life in the upcoming Let’s Go titles: Lavender Town.

Yes the unusually macabre town that sparked countless creepypastas and rumours will be back later this month when Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! launch.

The trailer was shown off on Twitter by one of the official Pokémon accounts and we’ve embedded it below.

It shows off a walk through the town (with, fittingly, a Cubone in tow), some battles in Pokémon Tower, and a remix of the classic unnerving music.

Before we leave Twitter it’s interesting to note that the official English account, @Pokemon, has partaken in the trend of changing your Twitter name to something spooky for the month of October.

There’s “Ghost-type Pokémon”. While that may seem overly simple, it’s a clever way to keep the brand name front and centre will incorporating something from the games into it.

If this Pokémon news has been a bit sparse for you, don’t worry as there’s another trailer that was released yesterday for the Let’s Go titles.

There isn’t much new here as it’s just a simple showcase of the games’ features as well as its integration with the Go app, now featuring Meltan.

Aside from the trendy young people getting together to play the game, the other hilarious part of the trailer is Alolan Exeggutor running down a hall with its head out of frame.
