The local arm of data storage solution firm Infinidat has appointed Pinnacle as the primary distributor of the firm’s products locally.

Through the partnership Infinidat hopes to grow its business while giving enterprise customers the ability to leverage Infinidat’s promise of high availability, high performance and low total cost of ownership at multi-petabyte scale.

“This partnership is especially critical for us, as our go-to-market strategy is wholly focused on a channel model, says country manager for Infinidat in South Africa, Hayden Sadler.

The country manager claims that customers will be able to get more capacity, greater reliability and far better performance than other storage solutions they might’ve used in the past.

As for Pinnacle Enterprise Solutions, the addition of a new storage solution is good news not only for the distributor but its resellers as well. Being able to offer clients a variety of options is never a bad thing.

“Importantly, the inclusion of Infinidat’s offering delivers the strategic value of offering a range of data storage solutions designed around the core principle that customers should not have to compromise on cost, performance and availability, at scale,” managing executive of Pinnacle Enterprise solutions, Gerhard Gouws said of the appointment.

In addition to being able to offer up a larger variety of products, Infinidat’s offering is highly flexible which allows resellers to tailor-make solutions for customers that suit their business needs.

Ahead of the announcement Infinidat has worked with Pinnacle to train technical and sales staff. This support will continue and be provided as and when needed.

“Pinnacle will have the full support of Infinidat’s own technical, sales and support team, to assist with closing business and servicing both channel and end-user customers,” concluded Sadler.
