Wanna cook? Breaking Bad is getting a sequel film

***SPOILER WARNING***

This news story contains multiple spoilers for Breaking Bad.

Breaking Bad ended with a definitive thud for Walter White but just because the genius mind behind Blue Sky meth is gone doesn’t mean the story ends.

That seems to be the thinking behind the Breaking Bad universe which has continued to expand following the fifth and final season of the show. We’ve already followed the capers of Saul Goodman in Better Call Saul and now there is a Breaking Bad movie on the way.

The news comes to us via /Film which reports that Vince Gilligan is writing and playing executive producer for a Breaking Bad movie.

Details about the movie are extremely thin at the moment but rumour has it that Aaron Paul will reprise his role as Jesse Pinkman.

You might recall that Jesse escaped a band of neo-nazis in the final episode of Breaking Bad after he was forced to cook crystal meth for them.

While Walter’s story received a definitive ending, Jesse’s story was left up in the air and if you ask us, he deserves an ending.

When we can expect this movie is unclear and according to /Film it’s likely the movie won’t see a cinema release and instead will go straight to TV.

Production of the Breaking Bad movie is expected to begin in New Mexico soon.
