Samsung Galaxy S10 rumoured to have corner notch

If smartphone displays are known for one thing these days, it’s whether they’re sporting a screen notch or not. One company that has shied away from the design is Samsung, but that could change with next year’s Galaxy S10.

According to reports from a Vietnamese Facebook post (since deleted), the Galaxy S10 will feature a screen notch, but not in the place you may be thinking.

Previously most manufacturers have gone for the top centre of the display for their screen notches, but the Galaxy S10 could be opting for a corner notch instead.

Along with the reports of the rumoured corner notch, a leaked image also surfaced (pasted below), but it’s unclear as to what make of device it is. As such, the rumour needs to be taken with a generous grain of salt.

Given the look of the phone above, especially its blocky design, we think this might be a prototype or a version of the phone for testing purposes.

As such, it likely won’t be what the Galaxy S10 will look like when it gets unveiled by Samsung at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next year, with the South Korean manufacturer favouring rounded corners and a more curved screen.

With a few months still go between now and MWC 19 in late-February, there’s still plenty of time for more images of the Galaxy S10 to leak online.
