Samsung introduces new Notebook 9 Pen in time for CES 2019

In a case of whatever you can do, I can do better, Samsung has revealed its new Notebook 9 Pen offering with a view to showcase the offering at CES 2019 in January next year.

This latest announcement comes as fellow South Korean manufacturer LG debuted a pair of new Gram notebooks yesterday.

Like the LG Gram 14, the new Samsung Notebook 9 touts a display that can rotate vertically 360 degrees to be used in a few different modes including as a tablet. There’s also an S Pen added to the equation to help you scribe as well, with it featuring a few refinements compared to the predecessor, including two times less latency.

Other key improvements made to the Notebook 9 Pen is the addition of several ports, including two Thunderbolt and a USB Type-C. Added to this is a facial and fingerprint recognition, and an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor.

On the display side the Notebook 9 Pen will be available in two options – 13.3″ and 15″. Both options are FullHD, with Samsung also boasting 15 hours of battery life on each of these notebooks. Fast charging is also added to the mix, but Samsung does not detail how quickly the feature works.

That kind of information will likely be shared during CES 2019 in January next year where Samsung will be showing off the Notebook 9 Pen. For those consumers residing in South Korea though, this new notebook lands earlier from 14th December onwards.

No word for now on whether the Notebook 9 Pen will be available in South Africa, or indeed how much it will cost.
